Soriška planina and Bled

A pleasant circular motorcycle tour that combines urban charm, stunning mountain passes, and breathtaking Alpine views. The journey begins at Hotel Grof, from where you head toward Kamnik, a picturesque historic town nestled below the Kamnik–Savinja Alps. The route continues through Kranj to Škofja Loka, one of the best-preserved medieval towns in Slovenia. From there, enjoyable twisty roads lead you through Železniki toward Zgornja Sorica and over the Soriška Planina Pass (1,300 m). This stretch is a true treat for motorcyclists – a scenic road with an excellent surface and magnificent views of the Julian Alps.

After descending, you join the panoramic road toward Bled, where a stop by the lake for a coffee or the famous cream cake with a view of the iconic island is simply perfect. The return journey takes you through Radovljica and Kranj, then over a scenic pass toward Gornji Grad, and finally through Šmartno ob Dreti back to Hotel Grof, where the tour ends.

Make a stop:

  • Kamnik – coffee with views of the Kamnik–Savinja Alps
  • Škofja Loka – stroll through the medieval old town

Tour tips:

  • The road over Soriška Planina is narrow and winding – moderate speed is recommended.
