WARNING: Part of the route runs on the motorway, and a valid vignette is required for driving on it.
When you’re looking for that true motorcycling adventure – a road that combines sweeping curves, mountains, history, and the freedom of the open ride – this tour takes you straight into the heart of the Alps. Starting from Hotel Grof, the journey begins with a pleasant warm-up section through Kamnik and Škofja Loka, slowly climbing into the Gorenjska region. Beyond the towns, the roads open up into pure riding pleasure – a mix of flowing bends, green valleys, and alpine vistas that grow more impressive with every kilometer.
After Škofja Loka, the landscape transforms as the road leads toward the Soča Valley, one of the most beautiful in Europe. Passing through Livek and Žaga, you enter an area where history and nature intertwine – gorges, bridges, and turquoise pools of the Soča River accompany you all the way to Bovec. Take your time here – not just for the view, but to soak in the calm rhythm of the high mountains.
Next comes the ascent to the Predel Pass, on the border between Slovenia and Italy – a stretch that rewards every rider with sweeping curves and stunning views of Mount Mangart. After crossing into Italy, a scenic ride follows through Cave del Predil and on to Tarvisio, where the landscape shifts – alpine villages, cozy cafés, and mountain lakes create a touch of Italian alpine charm.
The return to Slovenia takes you through Kranjska Gora, where Lake Jasna is an almost mandatory stop, before continuing via Jesenice and Radovljica back toward Kamnik and finally to Hotel Grof.
This is a tour that truly has it all – mountain passes, border crossings, panoramic views, and that unmistakable sense of freedom every rider seeks.
