MC18 - Prekmurje

This motorcycle tour takes you through the heart of Styria and the beautiful Pomurje region, offering a mix of picturesque countryside roads, charming towns, and scenic views of both hills and plains. The route provides an excellent opportunity for those who want to explore the diverse landscapes and historical landmarks of Slovenia, with a combination of smooth open roads and winding country paths.

The tour starts at Hotel Grof, and the first stop is Žalec, a town known for its hop-growing tradition and the famous beer fountain. From there, we head to Celje, Slovenia’s third-largest city, rich in history and home to the Celje Castle. Continuing on, we ride through Vojnik and Slovenske Konjice, a charming town surrounded by vineyards and beautiful hills, before arriving in Ptuj, Slovenia's oldest town, where we can admire its medieval castle and historic center. We then proceed to Ljutomer and Murska Sobota, heading into the Pomurje region, where the landscape becomes flatter and characterized by vast fields and smaller towns. From Murska Sobota, we continue to Kuzma and Gornja Radgona, before making our way to Lenart, a lovely town with scenic views of the surrounding hills.

The next part of the tour takes us to Maribor, Slovenia's second-largest city, where we can enjoy the vibrant city atmosphere and explore the famous Maribor Pohorje ski resort. From Maribor, we continue to Slovenska Bistrica and back to Slovenske Konjice, followed by Lemberg pri Novi Cerkvi, Arnače, and Polzela, offering a mix of relaxing rural roads and some more dynamic sections. Finally, we return to Hotel Grof, completing the loop through some of the most beautiful and diverse regions of Slovenia.
