Pass through Celje, with its medieval castle, and continue to Laško, known for its thermal spa and beer culture. The route follows the Sava River through Zidani Most and Radeče, then leads to Sevnica.

Rolling hills take you through Mirna, Trebnje, and Žužemberk, where its stunning castle overlooks the Krka River. Heading south, the ride enters the wild Kočevje forests, home to Slovenia’s largest bear population. Roads through Kočevje and Osilnica offer remote and scenic riding. Ascend to Kočevska Reka, a hidden gem, before continuing to Ribnica, famous for its woodenware. Ride north through Velike Lašče, Primož Trubar's birthplace, before reaching Ljubljana, Slovenia’s capital. Here, you can detour and take some time to enjoy the vibrant city, visit Ljubljana Castle, or enjoy a riverside café. The road continues through Domžale to Trojane, a must-stop for its famous cream-filled doughnuts. Finally, descend through Vransko, home to the Motorsport Museum, before returning to Hotel Grof.

Tour Tips:

  • The route is diverse with many winding regional roads, so maintain a moderate speed and be extra cautious in the curves, especially between Žužemberk and Kočevje, and Kočevje and Osilnica.
  • Watch out for local traffic, especially agricultural vehicles, in rural areas between Sevnica, Mirna, and Žužemberk.
  • The Kočevje – Osilnica road is scenic but narrow and partly damaged, so be careful when encountering oncoming traffic.

A map of motorcycling routes is available at the reception of Hotel Grof, where you can also download selected GPX to your navigation device.
