It combines dynamic riding, a seaside atmosphere, and stunning views, making it an excellent choice for road adventure enthusiasts.

The tour starts at Hotel Grof, from where we head towards Trojane, famous for its iconic cream-filled doughnuts. The route then takes us through Domžale and towards Vrhnika, where you can visit the springs of the Ljubljanica River. We continue towards Logatec, before descending into Ajdovščina, an old Vipava Valley town where the Mediterranean climate starts to take effect. From there, we ride towards Dutovlje, located in the heart of the Karst region, and cross the border into Italy. In Muggia, a beautiful coastal town near Trieste, you can enjoy the authentic seaside atmosphere. The ride continues through San Rocco and Lazzaretto, before returning to Slovenia in Ankaran, offering stunning views of the Slovenian coast.

We then continue the ride through Koper, Izola, and Bertoki, where the true Mediterranean vibe can be felt. Heading back inland, we pass through Črni Kal, known for its famous viaduct and the ruins of an old castle. From here, we ride towards Cerknica, where a stop by the Cerknica Lake is highly recommended. The journey then takes us through Litija and Vače, before returning to the starting point at Hotel Grof.

Tour Tips:

  • Take a break in Muggia to enjoy the seaside town and its charming Italian atmosphere.
  • Be careful in Črni Kal, as the road includes tight turns and changes in elevation.
  • Check the weather forecast, as conditions can change rapidly, especially near the coast.
  • Be prepared for potential wind on the Karst plateau and coastal sections.
