Prekmurje

Shaped by the Mura River and its tributaries, Prekmurje is rich in cultural heritage and rural charm. It is flatter compared to some other regions of Slovenia, making it ideal for motorbikers who prefer relaxed and scenic routes.

The rich folklore of Prekmurje is celebrated in various cultural events, including the Prekmurje Carnival every year. As you ride through the Prekmurje countryside, you’ll notice traditional wooden barns, farmhouses and distinctive Prekmurje-style homes. Take a detour to Lendava and enjoy the views from Lendava Hills, one of the few hilly areas in Prekmurje. Area is also known for its abundance of thermal springs, such as those in Moravske Toplice, where you can treat yourself to some relaxation.
